Beautiful vintage Oromo stool from Ethiopia

The Oromo people are an ethnic group that is mainly located in Ethiopia but also in the north of Kenya. This beautiful three-legged stool comes from Ethiopia. There it was carved by the Oromo from a tree trunk. The traces of the carving tools that can be seen all over the stool. Typical of the Oromo stools is the concave seat and the beautiful curved legs on which the seat rests.
The stool is heavy and stands very stable. The stool is old and has been used and has minor signs of use such as nicks or splits. Unique piece!
