Handmade antique birdcage from China with carvings

The antique birdcage is about 80 years old and comes from the Chinese province of Shandong. It is handmade and has a beautiful patina due to its age. It is hard to imagine that so much effort is put into the production of a birdcage. Even the small porcelain bowl is artistically crafted. A walk through an Asian bird market is a wonderful experience. This ornate antique cage brings a bit of that experience home to us. 
The bird cage is old and has signs of use. Unique  item!
