2.4. The dispatch of newsletters

2.4.1 Registration for the newsletter; use of newsletter 2Go

With the newsletter we inform you about us and our offers.

For the registration to the newsletter only your email address is needed. If you register for the newsletter, your email address will be transmitted to us (or to Newsletter 2Go) and stored there. After registration, the user receives an email to confirm the registration ("double opt-in"). With the registration for the newsletter, the IP address, the device name, the mail provider as well as the first and last name and the date of registration are stored by us. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an email address and registers for receiving the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorised party.

We also use „Newsletter 2Go“ of the German provider Newsletter2Go GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany for the purpose of sending out newsletters.

The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in the context of this notice, are stored on the servers of Newsletter2Go in Germany. Newsletter2Go uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. According to the information of Newsletter2Go, Newsletter2Go can also use this data to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimisation of the dispatch and presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes in order to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Newletter2Go does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them or pass them on to third parties. We have concluded a contract with Newsletter2Go for order data processing. The data processing is carried out on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR, whereby our legitimate interests (or the legitimate interests of third parties commissioned by us) of quality assurance or marketing are pursued.

OPT-OUT / withdraw consent: The user can withdraw his consent to the processing of data for the purpose of sending the newsletter or evaluation by Newsletter2Go/us at any time. The withdrawal can take place over a left of each news type character or by message to us.

Furthermore, we also send these emails via the provider Newsletter2Go, whereby in addition an evaluation and analysis of the data by Newsletter2Go or us takes place (see above point). The data processing takes place thereby on the legal basis art. 6 (1) f. GDPR, whereby our legitimate interests (or the legitimate interests of third parties commissioned by us) of quality assurance or marketing are pursued.

OPT-OUT: You can demand at any time not to receive such information emails from us any more. To do so, please contact us by message or click on the link at the end of the information emails. You do not have to bear any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic tariffs.

2.5 Automated decision making / profiling

When you use this website, we do not perform "profiling" or automatically make decisions about you; however, such profiling or automated decision-making may be made in individual cases by third-party providers we use, whereby we refer to this in this privacy policy as far as possible. Examples of such profiling include the analysis of data (e.g. on the basis of statistical methods) with the aim of displaying personalised advertising to the user or providing shopping tips. In principle, the data subject has the right not to be subject to a decision based exclusively on automated processing - including profiling - with some exceptions.

3. Integration of services and offers of third parties (cookies, Google services, social plugins)

3.1 Integration of cookies

Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific information relating to the device on the user's access device (PC, smartphone, etc.). On the one hand they serve the user-friendliness of web pages and thus you (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to collect statistical data on the use of the Website and to be able to analyse it in order to improve the Website.

When you visit the Website, so-called session cookies are used which are automatically deleted from the user's hard drive as soon as the browser window closes. The session cookies are used to associate successive page views with the respective users who simultaneously access BOHÈME LIVING.

OPT-OUT: You can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option that restricts or completely prevents the storage of cookies. Here are a few examples, although we would like to point out that these are subject to ongoing adjustments by the providers:

Internet Explorer

  • In the "Tools" menu, select "Internet options" and click on "Privacy".
  • Under "Advanced" you can configure whether and which cookies should be accepted or rejected.
  • Confirm your setting with "OK".

Firefox:

  • In the "Tools" menu, select "Settings" and click on "Privacy & Security".
  • Select "Cookies and website data" from the menu.
  • Now you can set whether cookies should be accepted, how long you want to keep these cookies and add exceptions, which websites you always or never want to allow cookies to be used.

Safari (mobiles Endgerät):

  • Under "Settings", select the "Safari" service.
  • Move the slider for "Block all cookies".

Google Chrome:

  • Select Settings from the menu on the toolbar and click Advanced.
  • Under "Security and privacy," click "Content settings," and under "Cookies," change the setting.

You can also manage many online ad cookies from companies via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/. However, we would like to point out that the use and in particular the comfort of use are restricted without cookies.

3.2. Use of Google Analytics

On our Website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the Website analyze how users use BOHÈME LIVING. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the services, such as
Browser type/version; operating system used; referrer URL (previously visited page); host name of accessing computer (IP address); time of server inquiry when using the website

are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there, whereby due to the activation of IP anonymisation on BOHÈME LIVING the IP address is shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is therefore not transmitted to a Google server in the USA and processed shortened there. IP anonymization is active on BOHÈME LIVING. On behalf of BOHÈME LIVING, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of BOHÈME LIVING by users, to compile reports on website activities and to provide us with further services related to the use of the Website and the internet. If IP anonymisation is not carried out, data processing is carried out on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR or TMG, whereby our legitimate interests (or the legitimate interests of third parties commissioned by us) in quality assurance or statistical analysis of user behaviour are pursued.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website.

OPT OUT: In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the Website (including the IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Furthermore, we would like to point out that the integration of Google and an existing account can lead to automated decision making or profiling (see also above).

Further information can also be found in the Google Privacy Policy: http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

3.3 Use of Google Adwords / Tag Manager

For advertising purposes, we use the Adwords tool and the Tag Manager by Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA on our Website, which serves as an analysis service for forwarding and/or visiting websites ("Conversion Tracking"). If you have reached our website via an advertisement from Google, a cookie is stored on your device. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser stores on your device. These cookies for conversion tracking are valid for 30 days. If you visit certain sub-pages of our Website while the cookie has not expired, we and Google may recognize that you, as a user, have clicked on one of our ads on Google and have been directed to our Website.

The information collected through conversion tracking cookies is used by Google to compile statistics about visits to our Website. These statistics allow us to know the total number of visitors who have clicked on our ad, as well as which sub-pages of our site have been visited since. However, we do not receive any information from Google via this function with which you can be identified personally. As far as the IP address is processed, the data processing takes place on the legal basis art. 6 (1) f. GDPR or TMG, whereby our legitimate interests (or the legitimate interests of third parties commissioned by us) in quality assurance or statistical analysis of user behaviour are pursued.

OPT-OUT: You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser accordingly, for example by setting your browser to deactivate the automatic setting of cookies in general or to block only cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com" in particular. You can also deactivate the function at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

We would like to point out that if Google or an existing account with Google is integrated, an automated decision making process or proactive use of cookies is possible.

More information can also be found in Google's privacy policy: services.google.com/sitestats/en.html

3.4 Integration of Google Fonts

Our website uses the service "Google Fonts" of Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA to integrate and display text on the website. When you visit our Website, your browser loads the required font so that our text can be displayed in a visually improved form. If your browser does not support this function, a standard font will be used by your device for display.

Further information about Google Fonts: https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq?hl=de-DE&csw=1

We would like to point out that if Google and an existing account with Google are integrated, automated decision making or profiling (see also above) can take place.

More information can also be found in Google's privacy policy: services.google.com/sitestats/en.html

3.5. Use of social plugins

The website is connected via "Social Plugins" to various social networks, namely Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest.

The social plugins are deactivated without your intervention and therefore no data is transmitted. For example, if you want to share a content, you must first click on the respective button on the Website. If you are logged into your user account in the corresponding social network, after activation of the button only with a renewed click of the user, e.g. with the „Share function“, an allocation with the visit of the web page takes place.

As far as the IP address (or other data) is processed, the data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR) or on the legal basis Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR or TMG, whereby our legitimate interests (or the legitimate interests of third parties commissioned by us) in quality assurance or statistical analysis of user behaviour are pursued.

Of course, you can deactivate this function at any time and manage it on BOHÈME LIVING. If you do not wish the social networks to collect data via the Website, you should log out of the social networks before visiting the Website. However, if you click on the appropriate button, cookies will still be set with an identifier each time you visit the Website. This function may therefore be used to collect data and create a profile that may be attributable to a single person. In these cases an automated decision making or profiling takes place (see also above).
