Big old reed basket from China

This beautiful Chinese basket is about 100 years old and comes from the northern Chinese province Shanxi. The large basket was hand woven from reed grass. The very stable handle is made of wood, the edge of the basket was reinforced with fabric. The antique basket was in use for many decades and has corresponding traces of use. Beautiful for the storage of various things.
