Ahnenfigur und Reliquienbox
In diesen großen Behältern, die aus Baumrinde gearbeitet sind, bewahrten die Fang Reliquien Ihrer Ahnen auf. Die Box wurde in der Regel vom ältesten Mitglied der Familie gehütet. Die Reliquienbox besteht aus 2 Teilen - einem aus Baumrinde und Holz gefertigten Korpus, der von den Fang Nsekh O Byeri (Körper) genannt wird und eine Figur, die auf dem Deckel der Box steht oder sitzt und die Reliquien schützt. Diese wird O Eyema Byeri (Kopf) genannt. Die Figuren auf den Behältern wurden auch um Hilfe und Schutz gebeten.

In these large offering or bark containers, worked from tree bark, the Fang kept relics of their ancestors. The box was usually looked after by the oldest male in the family. A Byeri consists of two parts; the bottom part which is made of the bark of trees is called Nsekh O Byeri by the Fang which means Body. The figurine which stands on top of the lid they call O Eyema Byeri which means head. The figures on the containers were also asked for help and protection.
