Beautiful large dark wooden bowl from Ethiopia 

 This simple, large wooden bowl looks almost like an art object. Roughly carved and archaic in appearance, this bowl has a very special aura. The wooden bowl was carved from the Gurage people from a single piece of wood in Ethiopia. The Gurage are an association of different ethnic groups in Ethiopia who consider themselves to belong together. They are considered hard-working and talented craftsmen.There is a handle on one side of the old bowl. The wooden bowl is old and has been in use for many years and has corresponding signs of use such as small cracks or nicks. Unique piece!
