Hand woven colorful grass fan

These fans are hand woven in northern Ghana from the grass that elephants feed on, the grass Pennisetum purpureum. After weaving, they are dyed by artisans with natural dyes. Mainly, the Pai Pai are used as decorative objects. Each of these basket fans is unique - great is a composition of different models on one wall.
