Clay bowl from Kalpuregan

Kalpuregan or Kalpourgan is an ancient village in south-eastern Iran, known as a living ceramics museum. The pottClay bowl from Kalpureganery from Kalpourgan is world-famous - to this day it is made and painted by hand by the women of the Dehwari tribe in the traditional way. There are many indications that the pottery in this village is around 7000 years old and has not changed over the millennia. In 2020, Kalpuregan was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The handmade bowl shows the red colour and hand-painted dark pictograms typical of Kalpuregan pottery. The bowl is several decades old and in very good condition. One of a kind!
